Regardless of freezing temperatures and wind, Lind’s 9th
Christmas Parade was a huge success!
Considering canceling the parade was not an option for most as 12
very beautiful and lighted floats decorated the streets of Lind. Thanks
to the Lind Lions Club for the fireworks and the warm spot for the
participants. Thanks, Josamy, for the beautiful display signaling the
start of the parade. Seems
the parade gets better every year, and this parade was no exception. Hats
off to the very efficient Chamber of Commerce for the chili, hotdogs and
homemade soup, to those who set up, served, and cleaned up long after
the crowd had gone home to thaw out. We also thank the |

And the celebration begins!
Josamy Blake once again orchestrated a beautiful
fireworks display to officially open the holiday
festivities. Thanks, Josamy. And thanks to the Lind Lions Club
for the beautiful fireworks!

Some of the spectacular lighting on the streets and the floats...fantastic!

![]() It seems only fitting that the parade committee would choose the 'grandest' ladies in Lind to lead the Christmas Parade as honored Grand Marshals. Erna Atkerson and Lenora Sackmann, both 87 years old, took their regal place to lead the beautiful floats on a bitter cold and windy night. It was a 'grand' experience for both of them, but they were quick to comment that rolling the window down to wave to the crowd was not an option! They also recognized and commended their chauffeur, Rod Biermann, for an enjoyable evening and the safe ride home. Thanks, Rod, for the car and for taking such good care of some of our most precious community members! |
