We are always amazed at the efficiency of this cook shack crew. Not only is their service outstanding, their hamburgers are the best in the county. This year they appreciated the FFA Porker, the Jim and Pete, the Oyster Guys, the Sno Cone stand and the Bagged Peanut booth which alleviated the pressure of the huge crowds. However, all booths sold out before the end of the Derby....an amazing amount of hamburgers (1600) and hot dogs (700) were served to a very hungry crowd. Thanks to the volunteers who "accidentally" showed up at the right time, were wearing an apron in a matter of seconds, and were taking orders!
