Community member, Grant Miller, volunteered again to chair the 5th annual truck races which were held during intermission of the Combine Demolition Derby™. It was another enthusiastic group who traveled from Benge, Dusty, Sprague, Cheney, Garfield, and Lind. We hope that next year's race will be bigger and better.

Lions Club member, Eric Lund, added to the race excitement with pickups. They came from Harrington Otis Orchards Harrington, Mattawa, Garfield, Pasco, Marysville, Rosalia, Lakeview and Fossil, OR, and Lind. This event has added a lot of thrills and excitement to the weekend, and we look forward to seeing them again in 2010. Special thanks to Adam Lamberd of 97ROCK for the great job announcing the races.

To participate in the event is easy. Just get yourself a pickup or truck, 1970 or earlier, make some common sense safety adjustments, find a helmet, a fire extinguisher, fasten your seat belt, wait for the starting gun and hang onto your hat!! These events are definitely crowd pleasers!



Good job, Grant and Eric, and thanks for all your hard work.
