It's the Calm
Before the Storm!

It’s always down to the minute! Last minute repairs, preparation of the grounds, and tying up loose ends seems to be on everyone's schedule. The ground is prepared, rocks are removed, barriers are placed in the arena, equipment is hauled in, the cook shacks are stocked and cleaned, and everything is ready.

Another monumental job was renovation of the new RV park and Arena improvements. All of this was accomplished during a very wet and cold spring. Although it was 'down to the wire' the arena was ready for the Friday night event. And, when 5,000 spectators converged on the little town of Lind during the weekend extravaganza, it was huge compensation!  Everyone breathed a sigh of relief!  The hard work had paid off, and the community celebrated.

The arena wasn't their only job. As usual, the Lions had other obligations, one being putting up and taking down the beautiful flag display at the Lind Cemetery in honor of
Memorial  Day.

Believe it when when we say that besides all the work and preparation
nothing could get done without the BS! (And it seems to flow very freely).
